A Week of Outfits | Late April

With highs spanning the low sixties to the high eighties, the last few weeks have demanded a fairly wide range of clothing choices. But as you can see, I was very firmly in the skirts and dresses camp, adding closed toe shoes and a light cardigan when absolutely necessary. Read on for details…

A Week of Ethical Outfits

Outfit One: Thrifted clothing; Shoes - Everlane Day Glove ; Retrospecced glasses

This is one of my very favorite skirts, a vintage Pendleton I picked up at a thrift shop several years ago. At one point I put it in the donate pile (I guess plaid wasn’t in that year?), but luckily I was able to rescue it before it left my house.

This outfit was good overall, though the thrifted shirt had a weird fit. Ultimately, I gave it back to the thrift shop.

Outfit Two: Tee - Fair Indigo; Jeans - Everlane Cheeky Straight ; Cardigan - Everlane; Sandals - c/o ABLE

I really love how this outfit turned out. I feel like it’s really flattering on me, and it’s made up of all my favorite things. This Fair Indigo tee is made with a sturdy and very soft pima cotton that falls nicely against the body.

Outfit Three: Tee - Everlane Crew Neck ; Skirt, Cardigan, and Shoes - thrifted; Earrings - c/o ABLE

I like the feminine-meets-tomboy look of this outfit. The skirt is a swishy chiffon and quite dressy, so toning it down with sneakers and a crew neck tee felt like a good balance. This cardigan, which I thrifted on a whim at the shop where I work, has already proved versatile. It’s a cotton/linen blend, perfect for late spring weather.

Outfit Four: Dress - thrifted; Tee - Everlane Pima Cotton ; Shoes - Everlane Day Glove

I bought this Everlane Pima Cotton tee specifically to layer under pinafores and dresses, and it’s worked out very well. I was drawn to the seersucker texture of this plaid dress, and like the easy, slightly drop-waist fit.

Outfit Five: Tee and Skirt - thrifted; Sandals - c/o ABLE

This top and skirt were folded together on the same shelf and in a moment of pattern-mixing mania, I put them on together. Overall, I really like this look. The silhouette of the skirt is so flattering and classic, and I’m beginning to believe that animal prints are a neutral, so the sandals work just fine.

Thoughts

I like all of these outfits! What’s not to love about easy spring separates?
