A handful of ethical and sustainable brands are doing Memorial Day Sales this year.
Seasonal sales are a good opportunity to get some high quality goods at a more attainable price. I always recommend Nisolo and ABLE in particular, as they have excellent ethics, a transparent wage structure, and beautiful items.
But there are lots more to choose from…

I will be adding more sales as they roll in, but please feel free to leave comments about others.

A note: I’ve been reading up and learning about war lately. And that makes me more sensitive to the fact that military-related holidays have been rebranded for cookouts and seasonal sales. I lean toward pacifism myself, but I am starting to better understand how complicated it is to be a soldier and a veteran. For now I’ll just say that I will be taking a moment of silence to consider the incredible loss of life war brings and the impossibly difficult work that soldiers are expected to carry out.
