Hello!
The impetus for writing this post is that I just seriously reformatted almost every page on the blog and I would understand if you’re annoyed and/or lost.
I was previously using a design that was missing some important blog elements, so I had created lots and lots of workarounds that ended up hurting my SEO.
So I reverted back to an older design and reworked the home page with the goal of making everything as clear as possible.
I’ll draw your attention to two things:

I added an Archives page where you can search by month or topic.

The home page has been reworked to include better navigation to all of the most popular topics and features.
What I’d Love From You
If there is a feature you previously appreciated or something else you think I should include for ease of use, please let me know.
I switched to Squarespace in March and am still working out the (numerous) kinks of transferring an almost 7-year-old blog to a new platform. There’s not much I can do about redirects at this point, but I’m open to any and all advice.
Life Updates
The big meeting I alluded to on Instagram went really well and I’m very close to completing the first milestone in the process to becoming a priest. I have been thankful for the growth this period of intense discernment (and paperwork and travel, etc.) has brought, but I’ll be glad to arrive at a place of temporary rest so that I can focus on final papers.
Because of the need to drive to Virginia last week, I missed a few days of class and a whole weekend of reading. I have a lot to catch up on, but I’ve been updating my blog instead.
I think I’ve got it under control, but now that we’re past midterms (and so close to the Holidays!), I am finding it difficult to rebuild the momentum. I keep describing seminary as a runaway train you better never jump off of, because if you do, you’ll have trouble getting back on.
Overwhelm aside, I keep looking around me and marveling at the intense and fruitful ways my life has transformed in only a few months. I had unintentionally given up on feeling the intense settledness of occupying a space and embarking on a path that embraces my identity, if not completely, at least with a lot of enthusiasm and patience. I know that I’m living in a fabricated, highly niche social space, but I am thankful for the way it is forming me.

I finally decided to buy the Everlane Day Boots after waffling back and forth for about a year. Right out of the box, I wasn’t sure I liked them, but they fill the very important gap in my shoe collection of being a bit more streamlined and formal, and they make me feel like a boss.
So I challenged myself to wear them every day during my time away last weekend, and a couple days in, I was totally sold. They’re not comfort boots, but the heel is very walkable, my feet feel supported, and they’re really beautiful to behold.
