PACT Apparel Review

About PACT Apparel

Pact makes organic, fair trade certified underwear, socks, loungewear, casual separates, and exercise clothes for the whole family. They recently introduced a range of bedding, as well.

I have been a longtime fan of the brand, having discovered them early on in my exploration of ethical clothing companies, and wear at least one article of their clothing each day. That sounds like a lot, but the reason I can make that claim is that Pact makes the only bra I wear!

Pact recently reached out to let me know about their Earth Week sale, and offered some store credit to try out some of their newer offerings. While I wait for my order to arrive, I wanted to share a review of the bras and socks I already own (I’ll add reviews of the other items – linked later on in this post – as soon as I get the chance).

Everything on the site is 30% off through 4/26.

PACT Apparel Smooth Cup Bralette Review

Pact Smooth Cup Bralette

Let me start off my review my admitting that Pact does not make bras that will suit all sizes. I recognize that almost all bra companies need to improve their sizing options to be as inclusive as possible.

That being said, Pact’s bras are the only bras I have found in adulthood that suit my body shape and size without any weird gapping or discomfort from underwire. I will spare you the intimate details about my sternum “deformity” (a cardiologist called it that in high school) and boob shape, but just know that it hasn’t been easy to find the right shape and fit.

The Smooth Cup Bralette has a round, soft foam cup insert that offers just the right amount of modesty. The straps are adjustable. This is a pull-over style with soft, lace detailing at the bottom.

I hand wash and hang dry my bras, and they have held up well for quite some time – I’d say going on two years on the oldest one. On the taupe colored one, there is some discoloration from dye that has rubbed off of clothing, but otherwise, I’d say these are above-average quality for a bralette.

(The other bralette shown here is no longer sold on the site, but it’s an unpadded style that I have gotten a LOT of use out of during social distancing, so I would recommend their unpadded styles, too.)

Pact Crew Socks

I love a good pair of novelty socks, and Pact’s crew socks are a great weight for this time of year. They’re sturdy, soft, fit well on my 7.5-8 feet, and come in lots of fun colors and patterns. I wear them with sneakers, oxfords, and boots that require a thinner sock.

In terms of sizing, I would say that everything I’ve tried from PACT runs true to size. If you’re in between sizes, size up.
