A Week of Outfits | Early April

If I miss anything about Instagram, it’s not the “inspiration” or even the community as such, but the vacuum of opportunities to share daily outfits!

It’s something I started doing because it was popular, and then kept doing because it was fun. It’s a way of celebrating my own personal style, and if I may say so myself, I think I’ve gotten better at it since abandoning the visual noise of Instagram. So, in the spirit of fun and in the name of imperfection, I want to start doing mirror selfie roundups of my outfits.

These were taken over the course of several weeks, which is more manageable for me right now, but they still give you a sense of what I wear to my thrift shop job each week.

March 18th & 29th

First outfit: V-neck – Everlane; Jeans – Everlane; Shoes – Everlane; Lariat – Dunitz & Company; Purse – ABLE; Cardigan – secondhand (similar)

Second outfit: Cardigan – Everlane; Dress – thrifted; Shoes – old Frye

In mid and late March, the temperatures were hovering in the 50s, warm enough to go without a coat but definitely not warm enough for sandals. I remember being a little cold in both of these outfits

April 3rd & 4th

First outfit: Tee – Fair Indigo; Cardigan – old Everlane (similar); Skirt – thrifted (similar); Shoes – secondhand

Second outfit: Tee – old J. Crew Tissue tee (similar); Dress – secondhand; Shoes – Everlane; Purse – ABLE; Earrings – Siizu (full post on this outfit here)

I had a really fun time experimenting with outfits now that I can wear all my spring and summer clothes again. A fun fact is that basically every secondhand item I’m wearing in these outfits is from Darling Boutique here in town. The owner, Linnea, just opened a larger location and it’s great.

April 9th

Outfit: Dress – thrifted; Shoes – secondhand (similar)

These shoes are my favorite shoes that have ever been created. I stalked them on ebay for a few weeks, watching as the buyer raised and lowered the price, refused my offers, and then finally accepted one. They’re made by Camper, one of my favorite shoe brands – with questionable ethics – so I look for them on secondhand sites.

My Favorite Looks

I love that I have two rib-knit midi dresses now. They’re flattering, work-appropriate, and very comfortable. Paired with a cool accessory or two, they don’t require much styling. But honestly, I’m very happy with all of these outfits. I haven’t gotten bored with this season’s clothes yet, so we’ll see how I’m feeling in a few months.
