Sustainable Cutaway Tank Tops
While cutaway tank tops that show off the shoulders are certainly not new, they seem to have become a summer staple over the last couple of years.
Whether you favor clean lines, are looking for a more athletic-style tank top, or love the 1980s throwback-feel of the style, the cutaway tank is flattering and versatile.
I have a ribbed cutaway tank in a deeply saturated pink that always garners compliments from friends. I like the practicality of a close-fitting, high-neck tank top for moving about my day. But it’s also easy to dress up or down.
Because cutaway tanks are both simple and statement-making, they work equally well with cut-off shorts, swingy skirts, and jeans. You can easily pair them with sneakers or heels.
Though they’re easy to find at practically any store these days, it can be more difficult to find ones that are sustainable and ethical. The following tank tops are made with organic and sustainably-harvested fibers and have high labor standards.
