The Leah: Do These Namesake Products Match My Vibe?

The Leah Products - do these products actually seem like me and match my vibe?

The Leah Products

Have you ever been innocently window-shopping on a website when all of a sudden, you stumble upon a product with your name? You know what I mean: The Amy Earrings, the Willow Rug, the Leah Bag.

Have you ever hovered over the product image for an extended length of time, just to see if the thing really seemed like you?

I recently came across two items named “The Leah” in the same week. And that got me thinking: if I put all these Leahs together, would they feel like my vibe?

Of course, there are over 100,000 human Leahs in the U.S. alone. We can’t all have the same taste. Or can we?

Maybe these items are named after the designers’ friends. Maybe the titles are based on names that are growing in popularity, or sound vaguely exotic. Maybe it’s just that Leahs are cool (obviously).

Or maybe it’s all just a marketing trick to get us to buy stuff just because we share a name with it.

In any case, I decided to put a dozen products named The Leah in one place to see if I would actually purchase and/or use them.

My Methodology: I searched Leah + [product name] and selected the first product that was in stock. This post contains affiliate links.

The Leah Products - Italic

Leah Camera Bag

Who makes it? Italic

Price? $75

Vibe Check: Def my vibe, but it’s kind of small for my needs.

The Leah Products - Quince Rug

Leah Rug

Who makes it? Quince

Price? $249.90 for a 5×7′

Vibe Check: It’s pretty cute. The dusty pink is working for me. I would probably buy this for my living room if I had a more open space.

The Leah Products - TKEES sandals

Leah Sandals

Who makes it? TKEES

Price? $65

Vibe Check: Dang, these are cute. I’m trying to have more support in my shoes these days, but I would def wear these otherwise.

Leah Tote

Who makes it? Kipling

Price? $139

Vibe Check: This tote is both boring and somehow a little too flashy? Not my vibe.

The Leah Products - Sofft boots

Leah Boots

Who makes them? Sofft

Price: $109.95

Vibe Check: I really love these. Maybe a bit more classic than what I usually go for in boots, but close to perfection.

Leah Bracelet

Who makes it? Second Daughter

Price: $60

Vibe Check: I don’t normally like bracelets, but I really like this one! Still wouldn’t wear it. But it almost convinced me to become a bracelet person.

Leah Glasses

Who makes them? Life is Good

Price: $83.64

Vibe Check: These are cuuuute. I like the tortoise shell and the pops of blue. I would wear them for sure.

Leah Jacket

Who makes it? Hobbs London

Price: $235

Vibe Check: Absolutely not!

Leah Throw Blanket

Who makes it? Target

Price: $24.29

Vibe Check: Ewwww (I really don’t like this shade of purple)

The results are surprisingly skewed toward good Leah vibes. Maybe there is something mysterious about the process of naming that makes things and people more like each other.

  1. I am always doing this too! Although my name (Joanna) isn’t that common. But I really want a Brixton Joanna hat!

    1. That is a very cute hat! I wouldn’t be surprised if people who share a name with the product order it more often than a similar item without their name.
